Lasting from February 15th until February 18th, this premier whale research and education event will bring together renowned scientists, filmmakers, and conservations to discuss all things whales!

Whales Tales happens every year on the island of Maui and is a four-day family friendly event that welcomes marine experts from all around the world right here on the island. Since 2006, world-renowned presenters have teamed up with the Whale Trust research team on Maui to showcase the latest findings on humpback whales and their environment to anyone interested in learning more about these creatures and their development. Along with providing the public with some incredible educational opportunities, this event has also raised more than $575,000 for whale research. Money raised from the Whale Tales events are distributed to organizations and students to help continue whale research in Hawaii. This coming year presentations will occur on Friday, Saturday and Sunday afternoons at the nearby Ritz-Carlton on Maui’s west side. Organizers are suggesting a $20 donation to help support whale tales’ selected beneficiaries, which includes researchers and local students.
