Maui Real Estate Market Update

Economist, Paul Brewbaker gave his "Housing After the Recovery" speech to the Realtors Association of Maui last week covering the real estate road to recovery. If you haven't taken advantage of the low interest rates, now is the time to start moving because the market is already beginning to work its way back up. Prices are stabilizing and interest rates will begin to rise, it is just a matter of time.

Alaska Airlines and Hawaiian Airlines have both been adding additional flights, and Hawaiian has acquired a few new Airbus planes which has become a hit with passengers. Airline companies in general still have high fares with the new wave of add ons making traveling difficult with travelers.

Keep in mind that these units are great for your vacation use but do not expect to make much of a profit with it as a vacation rental. Rental rates are still low, and have been since 2008 and will increase over time.
