New Developments

Happy New Year and all the best of health and success to each and every one of you. Thank you for all your support this year. Maui is alive and well. Weather has been very good so far. No snow and no ice! Temps have been in the 75 - 85 degree range every day.

Now for my Maui Real Estate Report:

Honua Kai will be closing on their first building beginning in January 2009 and the second tower is coming right along. It is now known that I'O restaurant from Lahaina will do the restaurant and the deli in the Honua Kai project.

Royal Lahaina Villas have begun clearing the old apartments that were on the roadside of the project and will continue to work on sales. They do have 5 spoken for. It is again noted they may do fractional ownership on the north end of the development, which would be good.

The residences and Ritz Club at Kapalua Bay Site are coming right along and the spa now has a roof and partial exterior so far. The "hales" for the spa are being built in Bali and will be on a boat soon. It's expected to open in July. The Ritz Hotel is slowly getting new furnishings in the lobby and the spa is open and seems to be a plus for everyone.

Merrimans restaurant has been a big hit so far and certainly is getting the attention with whale season coming along now.

We have had 19 sales to date in all of the condos in Kapalua and 6 home sales in Kapalua with the highest closing at 6.1M on the Bay Course in Phase II of Pineapple Hill. Golf Villas are now beginning at $575,000 and Ridge Villas begin at $785,000 and Bay Villas begin at $899,000. Ironwoods are starting at $3,150,000 and three Ritz Hotel suites are now relisted beginning at $950,000 and now they are releasing 20 more to sell.

The Adventure Center at Kapalua has the zipline and all of the activities you would like for ocean or mountain exploring including Frisbee Golf which is a hit with families. It is played on the village course. The Café in the Adventure Center is great for breakfast or lunch. Fresh soup every day.
